“Scaling this up to reach 300 million people in Africa will, frankly, be the largest public-private partnership for climate or inclusive development throughout the continent.” — Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, President of The Rockefeller Foundation at last year’s 2024 Concordia Annual Summit. Shah spoke on a panel with Ajay Banga, President of The World Bank, about Mission 300, their ambitious goal of expanding access to electricity to 300 million people in Africa by 2030. Is “I saw it on social media” the new “I read it in the news?”🧐 At the 2024 Concordia Annual Summit, David Simas, Managing Director of Emerson Collective, spoke to us about data-driven politics. At a time when the world was waiting to see who would win the 2024 presidential election, Simas was already thinking about the 2028 election, stating “[It] will be one of the most extraordinary moments of the integration of media, technology, culture, entertainment, societal factors, and democracy, that we can ever imagine.” To watch the full panel, click the link: https://lnkd.in/ewC3mt6e Concordia is a place for dialogue and collaboration, where shared purpose drives lasting influence. We asked Tina Fordham, Founder of Fordham Global Foresight, what recent global shift or trend organizations must address to remain relevant and resilient in the coming years. A trailblazer in the field of geopolitical risk, Fordham was Wall Street’s original Chief Global Political Analyst, spending 17 years at Citigroup USA Inc. She created Eurasia Group’s financial markets research business, was appointed to the United Nations’ first High-Level Panel on Women’s Economic Empowerment, and has served as a Senior Adviser to the U.K. prime minister and 3-star generals during her 25-year executive career. Fordham sits on the Concordia Advisory Council, a select group of experts who share updates on innovations in their fields, provide guidance in developing event agendas, and assist in building a network of key stakeholders across programming and initiatives. In lending their insight into policy developments and industry updates, Concordia Advisors support our mission to facilitate cross-sector partnerships for market-based solutions. Thank you for your insight, Tina Fordham! #ConcordiaInsights Click to learn more about Tina Fordham: https://lnkd.in/ewdETRCS
